HORRAH, I am over the moon with joy, and start Enbrel next week on Monday, can't believe how lucky I've been, and I'm really grateful that I've got such a good rheumy team who have been supportive and helpful.

I have had 3 days of thinking I was in remission, the pain had disappeared, even in my back, and was able to do a lot, but last night RA raised it's ugly head again just in time, and enough to convince my rheumy today that I was in a bad way; I could hardly walk and the joints in my hands were red and inflamed.

He was so nice and actually told me that the drugs had caused my "non alcohol fatty liver disease; I knew this all along because my liver according to my blood results when I first presented with RA symptoms were normal. I was pleased that he at least acknowledge this, and confirmed my suspicions.

Anyway, it can only be "onwards-and-upwards" from now on, and feel positive that Enbrel will work for meSmile

Thank you all for your support and encouragement,

Love,

Barbara

Well done and good luck with it.
Not so good about your liver though, hope it improves now the drugs are stopped.

Hi Ellie, I'm hopeful that my liver with a little TLC will repair it's self, I've been told that it is a very forgiving organ as long as we take care and look after it. I take Milk Thistle to protect mine.

How about a "dodgy liver pate support group"

Love,

Barbara

Dearets B,

BRILLIANT news! This has brightened up my evening and I am having a glass of wine for you!

Keep taking the Milk Thistle- best thing to protect the liver and strengthen the blood.

We will pray fervently for you that this will be the one.....

Much love,

A

It's great you'll be starting Enbrel nest week, hope it works well for you. I've been taking it for about 3 years, and it's really helped.

I had to come off MTX because of my liver, but it's back to normal now.
